Moments on the Edge
4 One-Acts
Moments on the Edge is our annual one‑act showcase, bringing four short plays to the Dolphin Playhouse stage for a single‑weekend event. This year’s program features Trifles by Susan Glaspell, Dumpster Dan by Christopher Wall, Mariposa/Butterfly by Sandra F. Asher & José Casas, and The Boor by Anton Chekhov, each directed by a different member of our Directing Class.
The one‑act series has become a favorite tradition, providing newer directors with the chance to take on focused projects and explore material they’re excited about. Each team developed its own process and staging approach, resulting in a varied program that highlights different styles and perspectives. Presented for one weekend only, Moments on the Edge continues our commitment to short‑form theatre and collaborative local production

2026 Season Proposals Needed
The Dolphin Players are now soliciting proposals for productions and directors for the 2026 season. The Dolphin Playhouse is an intimate theater located in the historic Empire district. The usual season includes six productions, and the Dolphin Players are open to all genres.
Past productions have ranged from Cabaret to classic radio. The selection process begins with submission of a play proposal, followed by a presentation to the Dolphin Players board of directors. If a proposal is selected to be part of the season, the director will be supported throughout the process by Playhouse staff. Experience in directing is not required, and unpublished manuscripts will be considered.
For more information and a play proposal form, please contact Alice Carlson, Managing Director, by email at dolphinplayers@gmail.com or leave a message at the theater 541-808-2611.
