Stage Lighting Class
If you’ve ever wanted to explore the mysteries of stage lighting, here’s your chance. The Dolphin Playhouse and the Liberty Theater are teaming up to offer a lighting class. Class meets from 10-12 every Saturday in March, with the first class at the Dolphin Playhouse. Alice Carlson, Taylor Marchant, and Jeremy Conway will teach the hands-on sessions. Cost is $25, reduced to all participants by a grant. A rebate of the class cost will be offered to participants who become significantly involved in lighting a show at either venue.
The class will cover types of lighting instruments and their uses, hanging and focusing, operating a light board, and beginning design principles, with an emphasis on safety. This is a hands-on class, but modifications will be made for individual circumstances.

The Unteachables
The Unteachables came together because we are all comedians first who
just happened to fall backwards into leading America’s youth. Our
material covers far more than just the chaos that exists in our
classrooms. We offer authentic comedy to everyone, regardless of if they
worked in education, need a break from reality, or just love to laugh.
The Unteachables have sold out comedy clubs and venues across the
United States. With their trademark live Q&A at the end of every show,
the majority of performances are at capacity, including the filming of
their debut special at Comedy Works in downtown Denver

2026 Season Proposals Needed
The Dolphin Players are now soliciting proposals for productions and directors for the 2026 season. The Dolphin Playhouse is an intimate theater located in the historic Empire district. The usual season includes six productions, and the Dolphin Players are open to all genres.
Past productions have ranged from Cabaret to classic radio. The selection process begins with submission of a play proposal, followed by a presentation to the Dolphin Players board of directors. If a proposal is selected to be part of the season, the director will be supported throughout the process by Playhouse staff. Experience in directing is not required, and unpublished manuscripts will be considered.
For more information and a play proposal form, please contact Alice Carlson, Managing Director, by email at dolphinplayers@gmail.com or leave a message at the theater 541-808-2611.
